BALA CYNWYD, PA — A new spot to eat is open for business in Bala Cynwyd.
The Landing Kitchen opened its doors for the first time Thursday.
Located in Bala Cynwyd’s Pencoyd Ironworks, The Landing Kitchen comes from chef Nick Elmi and hospitality industry veteran Fia Berisha.
It will focus on cafe-style fare with menu items such as breakfast sandwiches, frittatas, avocado toast, and baked good from local businesses, as well as a plethora of beverages like coffee, tea juices, and more. But The Landing Kitchen also serves a burger, a fried chicken sandwich, a veggie panini, and salads and bowls.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Philadelphia Magazine writer Sarah Maiellano listed The Landing Kitchen as one of “The Most Anticipated Philadelphia Restaurant Openings of Early 2021.”
Here’s what she said:
Two new restaurants from star chef Nick Elmi and hospitality veteran Fia Berisha are making a play for the Main Line. Lark will celebrate sustainable seafood and seasonal produce in an airy space with a rooftop terrace overlooking the Schuylkill River. The Landing Kitchen rides the all day café wave with breakfast and lunch service, plus fresh-baked pastries and Curiosity Doughnut pop-ups.
Lark is set to open in April on the seventh floor of the Ironworks building and will focus on Mediterranean style cuisine, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The Landing Kitchen is located in Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing, 617 Righters Ferry Road in Bala Cynwyd.
