EVESHAM – Skechers is coming to town.  

It will open a location at The Willow Ridge Plaza, where Famous Footwear used to operate a shoe store at 744 Route 73 South.

A company spokesperson said it will be a warehouse store, which is very similar to an outlet store but can carry more of a variety. The store is expected to open later this year.

Skechers USA Inc. is based in Manhattan Beach, California, and designs, develops and markets a diverse range of lifestyle footwear for men, women and children, as well as performance footwear for adults, according to its website. It sells shoes in the U.S and more than 170 other countries and territories.

There are Skechers Factory Outlets at the Gloucester Premium Outlets in Blackwood; the Jackson Premium Outlets in Jackson, Ocean County; the Atlantic City Outlets; and Philadelphia Mills.

The Willow Ridge shopping center is between Commonwealth and Ardsley drives. Other stores in the center include Marshalls, Rastelli Market Fresh, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Old Navy, Ulta Salon, Five Below and Lane Bryant.
